Biography

Musician, producer and drone filmmaker

I left school to become a chef, but decided to follow a music career. I played guitar and keyboards in several bands, including UK Decay, an iconic 1970s/1980s punk band. I later worked as a music producer, engineer, and website designer.

In recent years, I have continued to produce music and films. I moved to Ceredigion and began drone flying, publishing my films with my latest Nostramus soundtracks.

Steve Spon Guitarist with UK Decay

Steve Spon

Did you know Steve played keyboard for legendary Dunstable Blues Band ‘Toad The Wet Sprocket’ from 1974 to 1977. In 1975 Spon and the band played the Watchfield Free Festival and rubbed shoulders with the likes of hippy 101ers, Joe Strummer and John Lydon as well as many other mid seventies ‘hippy’ bands who were destined to either embrace or reject Punk Music a year or so later.
